Classic tartan and check fabric by the metre, including Royal Stewart and Black Watch style tartans, gingham, houndstooth, dogtooth and window-pane checks. Choose polyviscose for kilts, skirts and trousers, wool blends for coats and jackets, and polycotton gingham for school uniforms, tablecloths and crafts.

When cutting checks, allow extra fabric to match the pattern across seams.
